Sharron Valk is the founder of the SHARRARI brand, and a designer of couture swimwear. She is a California native who spent most of her years growing up in Dallas; the city she came to adopt as her own, and with which she identifies her brand.

Her clothing line draws on her perspective from extensive travels to more than 25 countries, including a solid year of globe trotting on a hiatus from life in the States, as well as spending time living in Italy, Spain, and Australia. Through exposure to a wide range of culture and tradition, her pieces incorporate diverse elements of fashion. Of course, there’s always the occasional piece with a dash of honky-tonk.

Growing up, Sharron was regularly exposed to the passion for business her father carried in his family business. At the same time she developed a keen interest in the costumes and clothing styles she noticed on music videos, cultivating a penchant and passion for fashion. Ideas started coming together in her head, and after years of pleading, Sharron was gifted with her first sewing machine for her 14th birthday.

Over time her interest in fashion developed with her, and she took a greater interest in the haute couture, and runway shows. Similarly, she took on interest in the classic designers of the modern era; Schiaparelli, Gernreich, and Férre being some of her favorites. Studying business at the University of Colorado in Boulder, she worked to improve her business understanding, an acumen that plays a large part in the pleasure she takes in developing SHARRARI.

Sharron guides SHARRARI with a goal to produce high quality garments in America. With a focus on swimwear, she lets her creativity, energy, fascination with the feminine body, and ingrained cultural exposure flesh out what is SHARRARI.
